Getting Started |
| "Begin at the beginning and go on till you come to the end; then stop." - Lewis Carroll |
There are at least three theories to explain what is actually happening, which are expounded in the following five films: |
| Probably a theoretician
could come up with a wordy thesis tying it all together in a neat little
package. Because it is more likely a combination of all these theories
rather than a single one. And, of course, you have to get rid of all the
fight scenes, and action sequences... they don't represent anything
other than eye candy. And also keep in mind that they are metaphors for
what is actually happening - so, don't take these theories literally.
Add these DYDs to your collection, and watch them until you master the metaphors. |
| Once you come to this realization you are on your way to becoming a Trancer. At that point in time you could try to analyze the whole thing to see if there is a way to change it... but that is futile because it sucks you deeper into the game. the other alternatives are: Try to find a way out or say, "Fuck it!", and accept things as they are. You could be like Neo and make war on the Matrix - because you choose to - but that is not very practical because you know nothing about the Art of War, or the Way of the Warrior. |
| First Maxim: Don't trust anybody! |
| The first requirement for a Trancer is self-reliance. To be self-reliant you have to have self-discipline. Without self-discipline you are dead meat. |
